Vessel design · Newbuild · Equipment & gear
From the drawing
to the water.
We design fishing vessels, build them in our own yard, and supply the engines, equipment and gear that make them work — delivered and documented for 30+ countries.
- In-house design office
- Built 9 m – 60 m+
- 30+ export markets
01 — Drawings
We start with the drawing,
not the hull.
Every hull begins on paper: lines plan, general arrangement, structure and stability. Two sheets are shown here; the empty slots are drawings being cleared for release.

Lines & hull form
Body plan, waterlines, buttocks and offsets table — tuned for your fishing method and sea area.
General arrangement
Deck layout, wheelhouse, hold arrangement, machinery space and crew accommodation.
Structure & scantlings
Hull scantling drawings to class rules (CCS / BV / IRS), including welding schedule and material list.
Stability & tonnage
Stability booklet, deadweight and tonnage calculations for registration under your flag.
02 — Delivered vessels
Hulls handed over,
with a build number.
Designed, built and delivered from our own yard. Every photograph below was taken at handover — no borrowed brochure shots.

Main engines
Used propulsion diesels, 150 – 1,200 hp. Run-test report, compression figures and endoscope photos supplied with each unit.
Auxiliary engines
Smaller diesels for hydraulics, winches and pumps, matched to the main engine installation.
Generator sets
Marine gensets from 15 kVA to 250 kVA, 50 or 60 Hz, with control panels and load-test records.
Gearboxes & shafting
Marine reduction gears, reversing gearboxes and matched shafting with propellers where available.
Spares & rebuild kits
Pistons, liners, injectors, cylinder heads, seawater pumps and gasket sets for common fishing-boat engines.
Inspection before you pay
Video walk-around, cold-start video and running-hours photo sent before any deposit. Third-party survey welcome.
07 — Video
The yard,
moving.
Build progress on the berth, sea trials and gear working on deck. The player below is sized for a 16:9 clip — the first films go in shortly.
Monthly hull update from the berth, filmed for the owner.
Speed, manoeuvring and gear tests before handover.
Haulers and nets working on a delivered boat.
Why BLH Ship
Specification certainty,
before you wire a deposit.
Buying a vessel across borders is a trust problem. We remove the guesswork with documents, inspections and a fixed price.
Certified & class-ready
CCS, CE and fisheries-register documentation supplied as standard. Third-party survey welcomed before shipment.
Fixed, transparent pricing
FOB or CIF quote in USD, itemised by hull, machinery and gear. No surprise add-ons at the port.
Built, not assembled
Our own yard cuts the steel. Hull, piping and electrical are completed by the same team that surveyed them.
One contact, 72h replies
A named English-speaking engineer handles your order end to end — quote, build photos, loading, after-sales.
Export logistics in-house
Break-bulk, container and RoRo shipments arranged to Africa, SE Asia, Middle East, CIS and Latin America.
Spares for 10 years
Engine parts, shafts and deck hardware kept on shelf — we still supply vessels built in 2012.
Our capability
A working fishing-yard,
not a trading office.
We fabricate, launch and sea-trial in the same facility. That means we can show you the hull under construction, photograph the welds you asked about, and settle a spec change in days — not email chains.
- Steel plate cutting and hull assembly in-house
- Machinery installation, shaft alignment and sea trials
- Independent inspection welcome (SGS, BV, Intertek)
- Client visits and live video walkthroughs on request
Six 20 m trawlers for a West African fleet
Delivered in three shipments on a single CIF contract, with crew training on arrival.
Purse seiner refit + 320 hp repower
Hull plating renewed and engines replaced in 11 weeks, back to sea before season start.
Longline package for 12 vessels
Consolidated gear container, mesh sizes made to local regulation.
“The specification sheet matched what arrived at the port — that has not always been our experience with other suppliers. The build photos every two weeks made the deposit easy to approve.”
